Race Day Information
6:30 a.m. - Start Line Staging Area Opens & Warmups Begin
7:30 a.m. - 5 Mile and 5k Start
8:00 a.m. - Post-Race Tailgate & Turkey Mike's BBQ opens for business
10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. - Happy Hollow Park & Zoo is open for the day. The 5 Milers will have just finished looping through it as part of their run. Go back and check it out!
5:00 p.m. - San Jose Giants vs Stockton Ports (extra tickets are $5 and available for purchase at the race finish)
Timing System: Sundial... Just kidding, the race will be chip-timed.
Gear Check: we will not have a gear check. Because the start and finish lines are within rock throwing distance of your car, and your car told us she'd be happy to hang on to your sweats for you.
Aid Station: there will be one aid station on course serving both the 5 mile and 5k. H2O only.
Age Group Awards: you're all winners in our book, no matter how old you are. But still, we'll be sure to recognize age-grade acheivements, probably with some sort of official proclamation of your awesomeness.
Parking: parking at Municipal Stadium and Spartan Track (across the street) is free for those only wishing to ditch the car for the duration of the race (up until 2pm). For those attending the baseball game Saturday evening, standard parking rates apply ($10 cash money). Please make sure to arrive early, because you can't stretch while in your car waiting to park! Parking opens at 5:30AM. Please use Alma or 10th to access parking lots (map below). Regardless of the lot you park in, you will be able to exit without restriction by 7:45am.
